Ennio Morricone ‎/ I MALAMONDO

This is one of master Morricone’s earliest works and one of his most eccentric and colorful soundtracks ever. Brilliant and lively, this soundtrack ranges across several musical genres, from classical music to bossa nova, from jazz to Latin, from exotica to big orchestral and melodic themes. The album is enriched by the vocal performances of “I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni” and “I 4+4 di Nora Orlandi”, the two greatest and most characteristic choirs of the time, which fully embody, with their very presence, the spirit of the Italian soundtracks of the time. This new edition is the result of a long and accurate work of restoration and remastering from the original tapes preserved in the CAM Sugar archives, thanks to which 7 completely unreleased tracks have re-emerged (9 in the CD/Digital edition), as well as two tracks presented for the first time on vinyl.
The soundtrack also contains the track “L’ultima Volta” chosen by Wes Anderson for his new film, “The French Dispatch”, starring Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Timothée Chalamet, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson – to be released in 2021.
