“Damien Marksson’s main goal is to create an object which bears upon it the markings of time in some sort of a graceful fashion.
He is interested in exploring what his capabilities are in a given media and to highlight these capabilities almost to a point of excess.
This is done through the lens of a willfully pseudoacademic and faux high-art perspective.
The internet is used as some sort of a fake library where the collective memory of the past informs Marksson of who “the great masters” and what their “techniques” were.
